1. Would you rather your country be more or less globalized?
2. What was the weirdest thing you noticed when you came to America?
3. Do you think that conflict is avoidable?
4. Who is your favorite American pop singer?
The speaker that we had from Jordan told us more information that I wanted to know then the Iraq speaker. I feel that she showed us a great example of the people over in the middle east that are not like we see on television. It seems kind of awkward at first to see how people really are over in the middle east because we see so many differences in the media. She explained to us all the similarities and differences btween our two cultures. After listening to her speak about her country I felt like both America and Jordan had a lot more in common than I thought.
It was really surprising to me that her little sister did not wear the scarf that covers their face. The media shows that all women in the middle east have no rights and they all wear the scarf. So seeing someone without it made me feel like there is so much more that us Americans do not know about the middle east. Overall I really liked the presentation and I learned a lot from it about Jordan and people from the middle east in general. I feel that I got a much different perspective now because I know more about people from the middle east and it is not just from the media.

All three of the candidates have basically the same stance on my issues that are important. Which is a wonderful thing because I know which ever one is chosen as our president they all have a stand that I agree with. It still worries me though because the only one I truely believe would make changes that I would want would be Obama. He shows that he is here for the people and wants to make change and get us out of the war. Hillary on the other hand seems like she is just trying to keep herself in the race saying anything and everything. Mccain seems like all he wants is war, also he kind of reminds me of Bush. Which makes me feel like hes a bad choice just straight off the bat. Look at each candidates television commercials you can see the differences and what they stand for. Obama is really the only one that stands out and when he gives his speeches it gives you the chills.
I feel that the president should have three qualities which are leadership, honor, and integrity. I think that he or she should talk about issues on racial issues, issues about increasing penalty for rape and abuse of children and spouses, and isssues on getting rid of the big drug distributers and not the actually users because the users have a problem that they need help to change but the distributers are just causing more harm to more people everyday.
I hope he’s wearing his cup!
